The Retrofit Challenge

Unlike hyperscale facilities, edge sites are compact, housed in tight mechanical spaces where space efficiency is paramount. The client required a "drop-in" solution that would fit an existing physical envelope while dramatically upgrading their power monitoring capabilities.

Passive Thermal Engineering

Instead of relying on forced-air cooling—which introduces mechanical failure points and noise—we engineered a passive, convection-cooled enclosure. By incorporating double the venting required by UL standards and strategically isolating heat-generating components, we achieved superior thermal performance without the complexity of fans.

Unified Protocol Integration

The system normalizes data from multiple third-party meters using Modbus and BACnet protocols. Powered by our proprietary **Voltz Connect HMI Platform**, the client now captures ITIC waveforms and alarm events through a single IP address, meeting strict cybersecurity and visibility requirements.
